Does an echo-cardiogram rule out arrhythmias?

Question by anxiousguy: Does an echo-cardiogram rule out arrhythmias?
I have health anxiety, mostly surrounding my heart, doctors send me home saying i need not worry and that it’s anxiety. I had a stress test and an echocardiogram with a well respected Cardiologist. The echo only took about 5 minutes.

Should i demand more tests or is this enough to rule out anything serious?

Let’s be straight here. People with severe health anxiety are frequently not relieved by any amount of testing.

You’ve had a thorough check of your heart that came out good. The odds are overwhelming that any palpitations you feel are benign, harmless.
